Evaluating the response to treatment
Primary Bone Tumors: Osteogenetic sarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, condrosarcoma, benign bone tumors. Particularly, the diagnosis of osteoid osteoma is easy with three phased bone scintigraphy.
Bone Marrow Diseases: Multiple myeloma is used in diagnosing the disease in early stage.. Since many lesions are lytic, the bone scintigraphy is inadequate most of the time.

Metabolic Bone Diseases: Renal osteodystrophy, primary hyperthyroidism, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, Paget disease, Sudeck atrophy.

Infections: Usually , Tc-99m HMPAO and tagged leukocyte scintigraphy are used together for the diagnosis of the osteomyelitis.

Bone Prostheses: Three phase bone scintigraphy is used for the diagnosis of loosening and infection of the the prosthesis. Vascular Diseases: Especially in the diagnosis and monitoring of aseptic necroses (Legg Calve Pethes…)
