Colloid scintigraphy easily shows liver lesions over 2cm, however it is not specific. In some cases, different substances are injected and these lesions can be named. It is particularly indicated in cases where BT and US cannot be interpreted.
Biliary Tract Scintigraphy is the most sensitive method in the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis. It is indicated in the postoperative bile leakage, fistula or obstruction, bile leakage due to trauma, traumatic cysts, biliary atresia, infant hepatitis, choledoch cysts. Also utilized for the detection of enterogastric reflux after gastric surgery.
